I’m a pharmacist in South Africa and have been working almost everyday with the public, from day 1 of the worldwide scare of COVID-19 .
I work daily with sick people, and have teenager twins at home. My parents, both above 70; my brother with three kids under the age of five; and my sister with three small kids, all stay close by. I’m really not scared. I comply with our countries’ COVID-19 rules and leave the rest to God.
God is in charge, so there is nothing to be afraid of. Our paths have been planned by God long ago.
In our country , the amount of people without income … no place to stay and nothing to eat is a much, much greater concern than COVID-19. Our old people are not dying from COVID-19 but from loneliness.
I’m privileged to be working and have the people I care for most nearby. My kids learned a great deal in the past 10 weeks at home on their own (my husband also works 12 hours a day).
So please… just trust in God… be responsible… and don’t let COVID-19 get the better of you.
Count your blessings … God WILL take care of you.
